Thank you for visiting my page!
This year, I am participating in The Michael J. Fox Foundation's (MJFF) Virtual Run/Walk for my Deddy.
My Deddy was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (PD) nearly 9 years ago. In the last few years, his disease has really progressed. It's taken a toll on his physical body, to the point he has trouble standing or walking for long periods of time. He finds himself more comfortable and feeling safer in a wheelchair. This is just one aspect of his disease.
Unfortunately, there's no cure for PD. And I want to help change that with the this foundation. And that's why I am joining their Fox Trot 5K run / walk series - virtually on June 18, 2022.
On that day, weather permitting, I will walk / run 5K somewhere in South Florida. I am still working on the details of where exactly I will be that day. But I do plan on training to be able to run as much of that 5K as possible. Any timing goals are also TBD. I will try to keep everyone updated either on my social media pages and / or updating on this page.
But till that day comes, I have a hefty goal of raising $5,000 to go towards the world’s largest nonprofit funder of PD research. I have been following and receiving communication from MJFF over the years and I believe they are truly dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.
Your gift will make a real difference: 100 percent of the Run/Walk proceeds will go directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s high-impact research programs.
Help me move a cure for Parkinson's disease over the finish line by making a donation today.
Thank you for your support!
