By joining The Michael J. Fox Foundation's Los Angeles Run/Walk,
you are helping close the gap on a cure for Parkinson's disease. 

Runners and walkers of all levels, abilities and speeds are welcome!

Are you ready to get started?

Step 1: Register for the event
Registration for our Run/Walk will provide entry to our in-person event on Sunday, March 20 at the Rose Bowl Stadium along with a race bib, finisher medal and the opportunity to earn an event t-shirt by fundraising $100 USD.

Adults $40 USD
Children (Under 13 years) $20 USD

Although fundraising is not required, we encourage all participants to raise additional funds. Your contributions go a long way as 100 percent of the proceeds go straight to high-impact research programs to speed a cure for Parkinson's.
Step 2: Setup your fundraising page
You signed up because you support our mission to cure Parkinson's disease. Now we need your help to raise additional funds for research. Once you register, you will receive a fundraising page from us that you can use to collect donations and share your accomplishments leading up to our event.

Step 3: Earn your event swag
All participants will receive a race bib and finisher medal that can be collected during our packet pick-up scheduled the day before our event. More details on packet pick-up can be found on the "Event Schedule" tab found above. 

To receive our event t-shirt, individuals must raise $100 USD (this does not include your registration fee). T-shirts will be handed at packet pick-up and an opportunity to donate on site will be available for those who wish to receive a shirt. 

Note, we will be recognizing our top five individual and team fundraisers and presenting them with an award after the event date.

Step 4: Earn virtual badges
As you begin your fundraising journey participants have the ability to earn digital badges on their fundraising pages as major milestones are achieved. For example, when you reach your fundraising goal, make a self donation, become a team captain and more you will receive a digital badge. See the table below for a complete list of the qualification levels for each virtual badge. 

Badge Qualifications
Orange Ribbon  Register to complete 1 or all 3 distances
T-Shirt Raise $100 USD or more
Dollar Sign Make a self-donation 
Hat Become a Team Captain
Star Raise $500 USD or more 
Trophy Raise $1000 USD or more
Megaphone Utilize the Social Share feature

Note: Fundraising totals must be reflected on your individual fundraising page to qualify not at the team level. 

Step 5: Share Your Progress and Tag MJFF
Throughout your training and after you complete your event distance(s), be sure to take a photo of yourself in your MJFF swag and post it on social media tagging @michaeljfoxorg on Instagram and Twitter and @michaeljfoxfoundation on Facebook.
