Thank you for visiting my page!

This year, I am participating in The Michael J. Fox Foundation's (MJFF) Chicago Run/Walk.

On February 25th, 2021 my dad, Ray Fylstra, passed away after a 12 year battle with Parkinson's Disease. I am doing this race and raising money to honor his memory.

More than 6 million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s disease (PD) — a chronic neurodegenerative disorder. There is no known cure for Parkinson’s disease. As the world’s largest nonprofit funder of PD research, MJFF is working to change this. MJFF is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.

Dad was always hopeful that he would live long enough to see some of the advancements that researchers and scientists were working on to treat and possibly even cure Parkinson's, which is why he connected with MJFF early on after his diagnosis. Dad received great treatment from his many wonderful doctors, but unfortunately he didn't live long enough to see the cure he hoped for. I continue to support the work that MJFF is doing in his stead.

Your gift will make a real difference: 100 percent of the Run/Walk proceeds will go directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s high-impact research programs.

Help me move a cure for Parkinson's disease over the finish line by making a donation today.

Thank you for your support!
