More than one million people across the United States suffer from Parkinson’s Disease, a disorder of the central nervous system which leads to devastating side effects and eventual mortality. Symptoms include uncontrollable tremors, stiff muscles, a loss of balance, an unsteady gate, full body pain, dementia, and a series of other severe complications which alter your physical and mental wellbeing.
On September 6, 2019, Parkinson’s stole the most incredible man in our families lives, Charlie Garchinsky. Those of you that knew Charlie know he was a living angel. He was loving, bright, witty, and kind. But above all, he was the most giving man we knew. In honor of his life, some our closest family and friends will be participating in our fourth annual 5k Foxtrot with the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation has raised millions of dollars toward finding treatment options for Parkinson’s with the goal to eventually find a cure. Their mission is as followed: “The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.” Sixty thousand Americans continue to be diagnosed with PD each year and nobody should ever have to suffer the way Charlie and millions of others have from this cruel disease. We believe that no one fights alone and that’s why we are asking that you kindly donate to our team in honor of our guardian angel. Please also share our donation link with your friends and family. Together, we can beat Parkinson’s.
